Unexpected wedding crashers at Taos nuptials

Many people say that once their wedding day comes, some things still do not go right as certain events are unexpected and unpredictable. A couple from Taos, New Mexico, can absolutely agree as two bears crashed their nuptials Sunday night, according to Albuquerque Journal.

A 300-pound bear and her cub climbed up a tree right next to a wedding at the El Monte Sagrado Resort. Matt Pengelly, a game and fish officer, went to sedate the animals, as the cub ran off. Local police officers also had to come and make sure that the people, who were decked out in wedding guest attire, did not wander into the woods, according to the news source.

Many guests took pictures of the bear. Unfortunately, it did affect the wedding, but the couple were still able to say “I do,” the media outlet reports.

According to the news channel KOAT-TV, there has been repeated reports of a bear in the area, and officials assume that it is the same bear. The huge animal was sedated and taken away, it is due to be released later.
