Men can and should actively participate in planning a wedding – it’s true.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

This includes working with your wedding DJ<\/a> to plan all the music and wedding dance traditions and activities.\u00a0It’s your wedding, too!<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Here are just a few of the many reasons for the engaged guys to jump in on their wedding planning:<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Why should men help with the planning of a wedding, including the music?<\/h4>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

  1. Your fianc\u00e9 should not have to do all the work alone – that’s where your help comes in<\/li>\r\n
  2. Not only is it the biggest event of your lives together, but your fianc\u00e9 will love the fact that you are \u201call in\u201d for planning this huge life transition<\/li>\r\n
  3. A wedding planned by two will be always better than a wedding planned by one, every time<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

    At Mixx The Beat Productions<\/a>, we have a planning meeting either in person or over the phone 6 weeks<\/strong> before the wedding.\u00a0Our favorite part of this planning and brainstorming session is when both fianc\u00e9s actively voice their opinions<\/strong> about music choices and wedding dance traditions\/activities.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

    In fact, if one party is not saying much, we\u2019ll try our best to get them speak up and give their ideas by asking questions like, \u201cWhat are your thoughts on that kind of music?”<\/em> Or, “What song would you like to dance with your mother too?”<\/em> Or, “Is there a special song you want played for a special toast for you and your school\/work buddies that maybe has special meaning?\u201d<\/em><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

    But even after all the planning, when big event has finally arrived, and it\u2019s time for the fun to begin \u2014 your duties as a partner still continue throughout the wedding reception<\/a> and dance party.\u00a0 So let us offer a little more advice:<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

    What can men do to help make this day the memory of a lifetime?<\/h4>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

    1. Lead the way in participating in wedding dance activities with gusto<\/strong>.\u00a0 At Mixx The Beat Productions<\/a> we encourage the men to let loose and have fun when we announce the grand entrance, emcee the garter belt removal<\/em>, and let their humor surface when we emcee the wedding quiz game<\/em><\/li>\r\n
    2. Encourage all of your friends to get out on the dance floor<\/strong> — you can even have them dance with you, your bride or just in a group<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

      Sometimes this just must be done, particularly if you have guests that came by themselves.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

      One of the thing we love to do while emceeing to help guests let loose, have a good time, and get on the dance floor is to shout things like: \u201cLet me here you scream if you\u2019re having a good time!\u201d<\/em> Or, \u201cPut your hands together and clap with the DJ!\u201d<\/em> Or, to the chorus of a well-known song, we\u2019ll get guests singing by shouting \u201cSing the chorus with me!\u201d<\/em>\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

      We’re pretty great at getting the party started, as our 5 star reviews<\/a> will attest to, but you can make your guests feel comfortable by getting into the groove yourself. <\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

      Another thing we love to do to get the good times rolling is what we call our Soul Train Dance Contest<\/em> where we either get guests to dance down the middle of two lines, or dance to the middle of a circle, all while the DJ is out on the dance floor getting the guests to clap, cheer and dance like no one is looking. <\/em><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
