The Daily Record of Ohio reports that Tim Shoenfelt and Hallie Richwine, a couple from Marshallville, Ohio, decided to nix scouting for unique wedding venues and instead said “I do!” at Deb’s Heavenly Hash Diner. Their special soiree was attended by their close friends and family as well as the eatery’s busy staff.

“It is one of our favorite places, and we always had a good time here,” Hallie told the news outlet. “It’s a friendly atmosphere.”

The couple’s decision to exchange wedding vows at the no-frills establishment has been 12 years in the making. As it turns out, the news source reports that the lovebirds, who met in college, spent many mornings eating breakfast under its roof.

In March, Tim proposed to Hallie in the diner’s parking lot, prompting the couple to consider the greasy spoon as the site of their marital affair.

Brides looking for a more low-key wedding don’t have to slip a wedding ring onto their finger at their local restaurant. There are scores of wedding venues which offer inexpensive package deals.
